Monongahela National Forest - Large Watercolor Illustrated Map

This 16x20 inch original art print features a watercolor and ink illustrated map that I created to celebrate the 2020 centennial of the Monongahela National Forest, which protects over 921,000 acres of federally owned land in eastern West Virginia!

Featured creatures and landmarks: a native brook trout, red russula mushrooms, Spruce Knob, haircap moss, jack-in-the-pulpit flower, yellow birch tree, Appalachian grizzled skipper, West Virginia northern flying squirrel, Cranberry Glades Botanical Area, Seneca Rocks, and the High Falls of the Cheat. The hiker walking on the Cranberry Glades boardwalk is my sister.

Size: 16x20 inches.

Paper: Printed in West Virginia on thick, textured white paper for the look & feel of watercolor paper.

Framing: This print arrives unframed, but it is a standard frame size which makes it really easy to find frames. My favorite inexpensive frame is the Natural Bamboo EcoCore Frame from Nielson Bainbridge. You can find them at
