Eastern Egg Rock, Maine Map - Watercolor Art Print
This print was created from my original pen & ink watercolor illustration that I created during my artist residency with National Audubon Society at Hog Island Audubon Camp in Maine in August 2019.
During my residency, I had the opportunity to visit Eastern Egg Rock and learn about Project Puffin's conservation efforts there through Dr. Steve Kress, founder of Project Puffin. This illustrated map is a celebration of the efforts of Audubon and all the scientists that have helped bring back the puffins! Featured: an adult puffin, puffin burrow, puffling, common tern (another bird on the island), researcher’s observation blind, the Egg Rock Hilton (tiny cabin that is their base of operations), the tents that the researchers live in all summer long, wooden puffin decoy, a researcher, and puffin feathers.
Printed by a local print shop in West Virginia on 100# textured white felt paper (for the look & feel of watercolor paper!).
Size: 11x14 inches
